The Bar Harbor Inn And Spa, located on eight acres in downtown Bar Harbor, offers views of the Atlantic Ocean and access to shops, art galleries, and waterfront activities. Originally opened as the Mount Desert Reading Room in the 1800s, the inn offers three dining options: The Reading Room for breakfast and dinner, The Terrace Grille for outdoor casual dining (open seasonally), and a Pool Bar. Guests have access to an infinity edge pool and two hot tubs (open mid-May to mid-October, weather permitting), and a spa with therapeutic services. The inn also provides access to Kebo Valley Golf Course and is less than two miles from Acadia National Park's Visitors Center.
